About us

Cotymog Shed is a sustainable project dedicated to sharing with you our enjoyment of words, the design beauty of the natural world, and the way in which both feed into the work made in my garden studio.

Inspired by the writing of Dominick Tyler when, in his fascinating small book Uncommon Ground,  he gives to those scraps of wool which catch on hedges and fences the title of cotwmogs, or Cotymogs. This seemed the perfect way to describe the images which arise from the way my pencil lines catch on the rough handmade Khadi paper and draw down images from within.
In order to keep my work sustainable I also use handmade watercolours and plant-based inks.

You are obviously of an inquiring nature, well- travelled and wise in the ways of the world. You are my ideal person, an art lover and reader, with a desire to live well, kindly, and sustainably, with a love for the environment, a concern for humanity, and all of that

It is a delight to welcome you here. Thank you for turning up!
